Where We Are

Weather in Anguilla

Our Island Anguilla

Nested in the Eastern Caribbean, the beautiful island of Anguilla is one of the most northern island of the Leeward Islands in the Lesser Antilles, lying east of Puerto Rico and directly north of Saint Martin/ Sint Maarten and St Barthelmy. Anguilla is an eel-shaped island, hence its name (Spanish for eel) given centuries ago by Spanish explorers. Being tucked away in the majestic Caribbean sea, helps to protect Anguilla’s character and exclusivity while offering travelers convenience in getting here by air or by sea.

Desired for its pure, unspoiled white sands and clear turquoise waters, Anguilla has well over 33 of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Beach access is public, and beaches are uncrowded. Dusty roads that branch off of the main road lead to charming villages, tranquil hotels, delightful restaurants, and of course uniquely colorful boutiques.

Anguilla enjoys warm and sunny days and star-filled nights, with an average temperature of 80ºF (27°C)and gentle northeastern trade winds keep this tropical island relatively cool and dry, the hottest weather occurring during the hurricane season from June to October.   Rains typically fall in September and October; and February through March is the dry season. Water temperatures range between 70ºF and 80ºF, perfect for swimming which complements our bright white sand and clear turquoise water.

Regardless of when you choose to visit, you can generally expect warm weather, sunny skies and very little rainfall.
